These are some of the photos that survived WWII, and the many moves made over the years.
The horse in these pictures was named Margret, she was a chestnut trotter off the track, her life ended tragically in a tent fire. The elephant's name was Modoc, one day he sensed that Micky was nervous, when he lifted her up with his trunk he broke three of her ribs in the fear he was going to drop her.
Micky traveled all over the United States with "Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus", riding horses, elephants and doing her aerial trapeze act. She wintered in Sarasota Florida.
Just before the war broke out, Micky returned to Germany with her trapeze act. Caught in the war she had to stay there, even performing for Hitler. |
